The Wix Smart Chat model
Smart Chat uses the AI credits included in your Wix plan. Free sites get up to 30 a day and up to 120 a month, Premium credits refresh monthly with no rollover, and Wix says top-up credits are not currently possible for Premium plans. Wix publishes estimated Smart Chat actions per plan — up to 150 on Light, 200 on Core, 300 on Business and 1,000 on Business Elite — and states the exact number is not guaranteed. The same credits also power Wix's AI Custom Agent, AI Marketing Agent, AI Phone Agent and Wixel, and when they run out Smart Chat switches to offline mode.
Worked example
A Core site expecting 400 chats a month is above Wix's estimated 200 actions for that plan before any other AI feature spends a credit. The route to more capacity is a higher Wix plan, not a top-up.
