The short version

Tidio's price is not one number. Each plan sets a quota for billable conversations, and the AI and the scripted flows have their own quotas on top. A plan can look affordable and still run out of one meter while the others have room left. Before you choose, know which meter your traffic will hit first.

The prices below come from Tidio's public pricing page as checked in October 2026. The Starter price is shown on the Annually option, so check the billing cycle at checkout before you commit.

The three meters

Billable conversations are the chats Tidio counts against your plan each month. The free plan includes 50. Starter starts from $24.17 a month on the Annually option, for 100 billable conversations. Higher plans raise that count, and Growth starts from $49.17 a month, from 250 billable conversations.

Lyro AI conversations are the chats the AI handles. On the free plan, Tidio gives 50 Lyro AI conversations as a lifetime allowance, not every month. After that allowance runs out, the AI side needs a paid plan or a different tool.

Flows visitors are the people who reach a scripted Flow. The free plan includes 100 Flows visitors. Check the exact count and how it applies on Tidio's pricing page before you build a live Flow on the free plan.

  • Growth. Price on the page: From $49.17 a month. Billable conversations: From 250. Notes: Check the limit on the live page.
  • Plus. Price on the page: From $300 a month, plus usage. Billable conversations: check Tidio's pricing page. Notes: check the usage terms on the live page.
  • Premium. Price on the page: check Tidio's pricing page. Billable conversations: check Tidio's pricing page. Notes: Premium Lyro from 3,000 conversations.

Plus is from $300 a month plus usage, so ask Tidio for a written quote if you are above the Growth tier.

How to estimate your bill

Start with three counts from the last 30 days: total chats, chats the AI should answer, and visitors who need a scripted path. Then check each meter against its limit. If your total chats exceed the billable conversation count for the plan you want, the price on the page is not your real price.

A simple way to check: multiply your monthly chats by the share you expect the AI to handle, and compare that number with the Lyro AI quota on the plan. If the AI share is more than a few chats a day, the free lifetime allowance of 50 Lyro AI conversations will not last, and you need a paid plan for the AI.

Where teams get surprised

Most surprises come from the meter nobody counted. A bot that works well can grow its traffic, and the billable count rises with it. A Flow that reaches many visitors uses its own quota. The AI can answer more questions than planned, and the free lifetime allowance is used up quickly.

Ask these questions before you sign:

  • Which meter stops the chat when it runs out, and what does the visitor see?
  • Do I pay more automatically, or does the chat pause until I upgrade?
  • Is the Lyro AI quota on my plan refreshed each month?
  • Does a visitor who reaches a Flow and then talks to a person count twice?

What the alternatives meter

Other tools use different units, which makes a direct comparison harder. SuperBot counts conversations on a flat plan: the free plan covers 200 a month with no card, Starter covers 2,000 for $25 a month, and Pro is $60 a month with unlimited conversations. Chatbase and Chatling count credits, and SiteGPT counts messages by model. Each unit suits a different kind of traffic, so compare on your own numbers.

If your main need is a visual builder for scripted paths, Tidio's Flows are designed for that job, and a conversation-based plan will not replace them. If your main need is answers drawn from your own content, a flat plan with an AI agent is usually easier to forecast.

What to do this week

  • Count the last 30 days of chats, the share you expect the AI to handle, and the visitors who reach a scripted path.
  • Open Tidio's pricing page and write down each meter and its limit for the plan you want, with the date you checked.
  • Ask Tidio which meter stops the chat and whether the Lyro AI quota on your plan is refreshed each month.
  • Compare the result with one flat plan at the same volume, then choose the one that stays predictable.
