Your shipping policy
Not legal advice. Consumer law differs by country and state, so check this policy against the rules that apply to your business before you publish it.
How it works
Three steps, about two minutes.
- 01Enter your shipping
Processing days, carriers, domestic and international rates and times, and your free-shipping threshold.
- 02Choose your rules
Tracking, international orders and what happens when a parcel is lost or stolen.
- 03Copy it to your store
Copy or download the policy, then link it in your footer, checkout and FAQ.
Guide
Why a clear shipping policy matters.
“Where is my order?” is among the most common questions online stores get. A shipping policy that separates processing time from delivery time, names the carrier and says when tracking arrives answers many of them before they are asked.
Keep the numbers consistent
- Use the same rates and thresholds as your checkout settings.
- Say “business days” and mention holiday cut-offs when they apply.
- Update the policy whenever you change carriers or rates.
Answer order questions automatically
Pair it with the return policy generator and turn both into an FAQ with the FAQ generator. An AI support chatbot can then answer shipping questions from your own policy, any time of day. See SuperBot answer from your own store.

What should a shipping policy include?
Processing time, the carriers you use, domestic and international rates and delivery times, any free-shipping threshold, whether orders are tracked, who covers customs duties, what happens with lost or stolen packages, and how to fix a wrong address.
What's the difference between processing time and delivery time?
Processing time is how long you take to pack and hand an order to the carrier. Delivery time is how long the carrier takes after that. Stating both separately avoids most "where is my order?" questions.
Who pays customs duties on international orders?
By default this generator says the customer pays duties and import taxes charged by the destination country, unless checkout says otherwise. If you collect duties at checkout, edit that line before you publish.
Is this legal advice?
No. It's a plain-English template built from your answers. Rules on delivery times, refunds for late orders and consumer rights differ by country and state, so check the policy against the rules that apply to you.
Is my information saved?
No. The policy is built in your browser. We only record that the tool was used when you copy or download a policy.
